i using coralife... gd n cheap, just that a little bit of impurities floating on the surface of the water after mixing....

My first try was Marine Environment Dual phase.. hee. Somehow it turned my water chalky. Now clearing up. Kinda ex for salt...

better check your Mg/Ca/kH... turing yr water chalky might mean precipitation... experienced it before

well waters clear now. will be checking the water specs tomorrow. hee. thanks for the advise.
Got a little worried when the water was chalky and my Seio cover with a fine white dust. Luckily it didnt last too long. Over nite,everything cleared up.
I need to go buy a Mg, ca and PO4 soon. Only have the basic stuff. Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, Ph and Kh... sigh. Man.. test kits are really ex....

I'm using coralife too, the solubility is good & i don't experience any floating impurities. Did u guys add that packet of trace elements that came with the salt? I've used once & found nuisance algae bloom in a sudden so stop to add it. Any comments?
