Default Urgent Help Needed!

Dear Betta Masters,

My fish has apparently started producing some weird, floating white stuff. I've been siphoning it out of his tank, but it keeps coming back. Last night, I decided that I needed to do a complete water change, when I woke up this morning it was full of that weird white stuff. There was nothing in the tank last night but the fish and totally fresh water. So I'm thinking that that stuff is coming from him somehow. He still seems happy. Eats every day, makes bubble nests, etc. What is that stuff?

Appreciate your kind advice.

Your water parameters is no good and the whitish stuff may be result in the fish slimming badly.

My guess is also slime.

You might want to intro "Goldfish Yellow Powder" to speed up the process, till the slime is all gone.

Hello Guys,

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, the water taken is directly taken from the tap and Seachem Safe is added. Water is aged for 2 days prior to use.

The whole thing is rather weird and I don't think a betta has so much slime to shed over a 24 hour period after a water change. (I could be wrong). Looks like a great bumper crop! LOL.

I will still try to narrow down the cause and keep you folks posted.

Thanks all!

A picture would help in the diagnosis
