High KH mean low Calcium.

How high? Theoretically CA & KH exist in Hi-Lo relationship. If u want to lower it then u need to maintain calcium at around 300-400ppm, in this way u'll be able to keep ur KH say around 8-10 dkh.

NSW kh is between 6-8. if you can maintain it at 7 will be good. for ca is between 400-440ppm.

my guess you still need the ca test kit.

If ur KH is below 8 ur Calcium will be lower than 400ppm which cannot surport a SPS tank.

so meaning that the low kh is due to low CA as well ? so i hv to dose KW ? hehe , cos i never add any additivies to my reef tank. btw most corals i'm keeping is shrooms and buttons
