Japanese Ranchu is the most sought after, heard from my friend who saw quality show ranchu in Japan and they cost about S$3000 per pair. And Jap Ranchu is not for viewing at the side but at the top, just like koi. Some ranchu depicts of a kohaku.

Precious i really do not know. But i myself really prefer Calico Ryukins and Calico Orandas.

i think the black ranchu is the most precious one
very ex. but not too good to rear they will lose their blackness after a while nest is the ranchu (other colour) some of them very ex one esp those tt come from japan |

Have experience before that black ranchu upon feeding food that are meant for gold fishes will result in colour change. Sometimes it is the food that is too good or the fish that is lousy......

I have always loved goldfish, but the one species that caught my eye had to be ryukins. I have been keeping and breeding them ever since.
