OK, finally get some quiet time to post some stuff. These are the types of net that I use to catch fish, even big monsters up to 3ft. The first pix is a sock net. Traditionally it is meant for kois but I find them very useful for monster fishes too, especially huge gars, carp like fishes (kelahs and jullieni). The good thing about it is that it doesn't hurt the fish or if you are catching a huge tigrinus or cat fish, there is no chance for the spike to get entangle with it. Second pix if you look carefully, there is a mini koi net (the black net, I also have a gigantic koi net 4ft across and 15ft long, for use to catch the monsters in my big concrete pond) this net is really good for catching rays up to 12inches. As it is a really shallow net, sting entanglement with the net is prevented. The butterfly net (white triangular net on the extreme right) is really good for catching fast moving fishes like kelah and jullieni up to a foot. It is really useful especially if you have an indoor tank and you don't want them to splash too mush. The net is soft but tough, once the fish is netted, keep the net submerged and allow the fish to try and get out at the sharp end of the net. You will realise soon enough that after awhile they get tired and that's when you remove them, minimal to no struggle. The third pix is a net stripped of the net to just the frame, wrapped the outer edges of the plastic bag to the frame and you get a very useful tool to catch your monsters. I have use this to catch fishes like arowana, stingray, tigrinus, to gars, big jullieni and gouramis, useful for indoor tank. The only thing to take note is to remove the plastic bag from the net frame after capture and to drain excess water out of the bag so it is light enough to carry it out of your tank. Can be strenuous on one's back so be careful.

These are the tools that I use for my maintenance work. I guess it's pretty standard stuff. You will realise that there are nets again, but these nets are either use for removal of waste/dead small fishes/prawns or use to strain the feeder fishes from my feeder container during water change. And these are the kind of pails and containers that I use very often.
