Pellet training wise, many have tried and failed so don't count that it will eat eventually. Starving a young aro has consequences too such as stunted growth so just be aware and good luck!

sometimes it's a issue of wad pellet u feedin.
I do notice my fishes displaying preference for certain food/brand over the others. And the damn gar eating algae wafers. |

Hopefully.
Yesterday he was swimming around when I stand close to the aquarium, i guess he is super hungry: after a month+ on hunger strike. I threw a pellet, he looks at pellet for couple seconds then swim away $%^!$%^$!#!!! |

Super Worms is very additive, and it is very hard to switch to another food.
If you insist to change to pellets, then you must have very good patience, and determination. Aro can don't eat for months. Just make sure there is a good water condition. Pellet or any food that you provided, must be removed within few mins, if Aro don't eat it. You can try adding some tankmates that eating pellets, this will help Aro, when it is super hungry. |
