Just to add on a little about the hydrometer, do not stinch and go for the swing arm type at the very minimum. Those glass type which floats in the water is not so good as reading it can be difficult and they need a certain depth of water before it can operate properly. Swing arm type are easy to read and all you need to do is fill it with some water and it would work.

You missed out the most important, testkits. For FOWLR, you should only need ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH for now. Getting a pH pen would be worth it as its very convenient to use if budget allows.

guys...i have 1 new headache. 10kg of C0 sand will come up to abt 2" height.

another 10kg of C3 sand will be total of 4".

but some of my frens told me i need at least 3-4" of C0 sand for the dsb to work.

how how? should i go buy one more pack ?

or is my combo of 10kg C0 + 10kg C3 enough?

If you want a DSB, yes, its better to get some more sand and make at least a 3" sandbed, if not more. A DSB should consist of around 3"-4" of fine(grade1,grade0) sand at the very least, the more coarse the sand the thicker the sandbed has to be.

For a normal aesthetic sandbed, its sufficient.
