I know its a Lap as I have seen you post before. Just a close up view of the head will do. I can see it is slightly different from the usual WC Lap as it's a very fine speciment for comparison.

i guess within species there are alrdy differences, can't pinpoint a slight head/scale pattern difference as a different species. within the endies, i think there are quite a few locality morph already so i think which look quite different in terms of headshape, colouration, base colour etc... so i wont be surprise that within lapradeis there is this type of differences. |

I'm not wanting to get involved with IDing fish anymore, but IMO, all 3 of the above pics are Lapradei.

I shall stop here with a few more far view of the Guinea lap and PBB. For those who brought them, judge yourself what you got and learn from it. When the times comes again, you will be able to tell the difference rather than listen to what you wish to hear. I learn it the hard painful way when I first started out. I believe we are getting more WC bichirs as I heard a LFS is liaising with a importer/exporter to imports WC bichirs for us. Be prepared to grab them when the deal is through. I am keeping my fingers cross. Last edited by Kohaku; 08-03-2011 at 02:55 PM. |
