I use both the 50mm 1.8 (great lens, not the sharpest but very quick and lets TONS of light in) and the 100mm 2.8 Macro, which is bulky for handholding and "searches" for focus a lot, but is SOOOO sharp and gives you remarkable "sloseup" results.

Both are lenses I would recommend for aquatic photography, it just depends on your budget. Here in US, the 50mm is about $70 and the 10mm is about $400, big difference. Plus the 100mm wont give you great "full fish" shots, unless they are small, 50mm is much better for that. But for close ups, 100mm is amazing.
