I tried, yes colours not so washed out but have problems editing the brightness of the pixs as u can c in my gallery.
Some of the pics need to be edited, especially those fish on corner pics (light too low, can't get saturated expose). I don't use mask on the flash light. But, I always take the pic with angles when using flash light (the same as Alvin mentioned. The pics in your last gallery look ok to me. Even if you edited it to be brighter, it will show some wash out area.
