Got it. Key message, long hose or big arms, choose 1.

I still use pail method for wc for my 5ft tank. 6 pails of dirty water then top up with the same amount. From my room to the kitchen, it's about 20 steps where I top up and drain water. My way of workout.

Agree...it depend on individual preference...for me I use pail to change water since day one even though hose is convenience. ..its a form of exercise looking at our busy daily schedule at work no time to sweat it out...feel shiok after that...feels like finish my gym session. .

Just a word of caution. i once slipped and fell with a full pail of water. landed right on top of the pail and hurt my ribs pretty badly. do take extra precaution such as placing towels on the floor.
