I don't use salt after water change as I find it not necessary. I only use it for treating sick fish.

Imo, beside those feeders, guppies and gold fishes, I find other ornamental fishes do not necessary uses salt when WC... Supposingly, WC do not require add salt, salt will dehydrate bodily fluid from fish, salt simulate slime growth to stop osmosis under bad water condition, salt will foul water fast cos the constant renewal of slime into the water.

do not add salt if fish is healthy. simply add water conditioner to neutralise chloramine will do.

Salt will stall the progression of bio-filtration, I'll consider salt with anti bio-tic for quarantine purpose, subsequent a partial WC to reduce medication and salinity, a sudden reduction of salinity will cause water intoxication (bursting of blood cells) to some fishes and I suppose no cure to it. Btw. Imo, if u're happy with your salt regime, by all mean stay happy.

I usually add a handful of salt after doing wc. Previously didn't add any salt when setting up tank n wc n i got this problem where my tank is always infected with those tiny white worm crawling all over tank walls. Try adding Vermex also no use. Keeps coming back. Tried adding salt , the problem slowly go away.

Till now, been adding salt to my wc regime. Aro got no problem also. Eating n swimming well.
