Pl lights
what will happen if there is too much light in the tank...
I think of putting in 2 x 55w pl into my 2 ft 18" tall tank... so that if next ime i upgrade tank still can use but the problem is will it be too much for my tank? what is the rating of pl light that will provide a good amount of light for my tank? what will happen if there is too much light? |

too much light and not enough of CO2 or fertilizer, might result in algea bloom
and not forgetting the heat also... think what u can do is maybe you can remove 1 PL tube first... |

Personally I prefer 6400K rating, as the colour is more natural. But I have the magnum II rated at 8000K if I am not mistaken and FL rated at 6400K. |

My friend tell me my thank around 60 to 70 litre, evrybody have been talking about good lighting. I am afraid that my 3 x 15watt flourescent is not gd enough for the tank. i need more feed back from u bros as u all are very experienced

110w would be almost 7wpg. u need to minus away the volume taken up by the substrate and how full u fill the tank to get an accurate figure. 2ft x 1ft x 18inch tank filled to the brim gives you around 20+gallons. u can use 110w if you can make sure co2 and nutrients are well taken care of. if not, 55w would suffice for most plants. |
