personally think fgt or glass tank dosen't matter as long as it's big and spacious for the rays to swim ard and of course good water condtion too.

FGT ... actually not much benefit that I can think of other than being cheaper esp for large FGTs

Best of both world ... FGT with front glass panel

But if talking abt size 6ft or lesser ... the price difference may not be a consideration ... cos they probably cos abt the same.

Large FGTs ... 10ft, 12ft ... the savings can be alot and also no limitation on tank size.
actually wat is the diff if wif front glass?? it look like blue oyama all side oni the front....??

Brother

In my opinion, the key point is about "volume" of water.
Definitely bigger glass tank is better than smaller fgt in term of volume or vice versa.
Bigger "volume" of water is better and why:
Ray's health's condition.
1. WC cycle can be reduced
2. Water conditions more stable.
3. More space for rays [if comm] to move around.
Of course the other factor is the filtering capacity. In this case, i take same filtering capacity to compare.
Big water voume is more suitable for bigger ray.
But it is not so suitable for pup because it is difficult for them to search for food.
Fgt and Glass tank.
A. Viewing
1. We can view ray from the top so glass or fgt is the same.
2. But we can view the gracefulness of the swimming motion of the ray in glass tank and not in fgt.
3. Much more easier to detect injury or sickness of the ray in glass than fgt.
B. Feeding
1. To me it is the same, we can observe the ray eat or not eating.
2. For pup, smaller or glass tank is better.
C. Breeding/Growth
1. I feel fgt is a better environment for ray to grow and breed.
The reason is more privacy or less disturbance.
2. Of course, space is a constrain for those staying in HDB.

My 2 cents opinion.

Regards

Koi and Rays are top viewing, places like pond and fgt is best.
But inividual preference
