I would think its not a good idea....
Most of their furniture are not made with solid wood.
And some compressed wooden board will bloat up when exposed to water.

Not a good idea. Get a proper stand.
Ikea furnitures are not designed to carry the weight of fishtanks filled with water.

You should get a proper stand that can take the weight of fish tank. I have ikea wardrobe and after using for 2years the wood tend to wrap and they are not solid wood but compress wood.

most of the ikea cupboard are not suitable for anything heavy.. even my desktop PC will bend the table top, so what do you think of a fish tank..confirm cannot make it.

however if you goto the DIY section, where they sell those wooden blank, it called IVAR2, these woods are more solid, I use this to build a shelfing to hold my 1.5ft cube, so far no problem after 1yr.. however I put 2pc of wood ontop each other and drill addition screw hold to secure these additional wood.

Some of their materials are made of chipboard and might not withstand the weight

I agree with the other bros here. Dont think its a good idea to use IKEA product to support ur tank. My sis bought an IKEA table and its supposed to be the better ones and yet having crack now with just a TV console on top of it.
