Default Drilling hole in fgt

Hi!

I got 4 x 2.5 x 2 ft fgt and would like to drill a overflow outlet hole.

Can I know what diameter is recommended?

I read up that is seems there is possibility of cracks when drilling fg, is there any shops that will do it for a fee as i got quite a few holes to drill?

It depend on the dimension of the pipes u want to use.
there are those common grey pvc 13/16/20 to 40mm.. it is also easier to buy "hole-drill" from hardware shop to match the dimension u required.
4 foot fgt don't required large outflow pipe... IMO 20mm shuld suit the usage.
Happy DIY

go for a hole drill from hardware shops. just don't rush/force the drill bit in and you ll be fine. let it work its own way into the fiberglass.

my guess if the daiso drill bit is stated as high speed steel, it should be ok if you planning to use it for just a few times. Cos for a 26mm hole saw, I paid around $8 for the hole saw at a hardware shop in clementi.

I did not drill on glass, i drill on fgt, so I'm not sure if the drill bit is suitable.
