Tested using PH meter (with probe). I was surprised by the reading. To be safe, I recalibrated the PH meter using fresh batch of PH neutral solution. Got the same reading.
Previously, I was using the PH test solution. The colour indicated the tap water was PH 8+. I guess, cannot trust those PH test solution? West Zone / PH reading Choa Chu Kang PH 6.5 (01 Nov 2007) |

My PH in my area right now fluctuate between 7.5 to 8.5. It was like 6.8 to 7 4 to 5 years ago. It is no good especially for a discus breeder like me. Currently I manage to rectify to problem by using P-acid for lowering the PH to around 6 to 6.5 for growing fries and 5 to 5.5 for breeding. So far this is best. Cheap n Good.
