yeah mine is still a young fish. in the second photo you can see the yellow starting to develop on his back. the dorsal will turn yellow as the fish matures and the body will go a darker blue.

if you can post up a photo of your fish we can have a look.

Mine is a young one too
the colour fade alot, previously is more colourful with the yellow very obvious. Name is given by the source.

Difficult to tell until he starts to colour up a bit more.

There's a lot of Peacocks and Haps with yellow marking on the head. Usually all bunched common name 'sulfur head' or 'yellow blaze'.

I'm looking to find a nice Mara Rocks myself but so far no joy.

I don't see much difference between that fish and mine (the flash on my camera does cause some shine).

Although I'm not 100% about the type yet. My best guess at the moment is Otopharynx Lithobates.
