Is this a true G1 red?
Received this red from a friend today, he told me that is has live its entire life in white tank, I am wondering if this is really a g1 red as its body is almost entirely white with 6 level shine, but the fins are quite big. this video is taken first day in a dark blue tank, appreciate any help

This no coloration might be due to the white tank effect.
Just let it stablise if its a true red then for a week you will see a difference. |

Yes to me, it does seems to be in white environment for a fair bit of time to attain that whitish appearance on the body.

Looks pinkish red. Looks like my previous G2 red. But that your piece is nicer with long barbels. Congrats on this pc.

Bro, me bagged home my min min at 5" from aro Kingdom some 3 years ago.
All this while, min min is in a 422 clear tank with a white base. no tanning throughout. Coloration began at about 2 months home. now, it's a 24" or more g1 red, crossed. just to share. |
