Default Cover red Aro tank

Hi all senior.
I happened to watch U tube on how Thai keep red Aro. They have one black cloth to cover the front tank. As I don't understand their languages. Can anyone know the purpose. I don't think is for de cos I watched all the tanks in their farms got such with cloth.

Long time no post. Basically its the same theory as a blind aro. Blind aro see total darkness thus display its max potential colour. By covering tank in black cloth, its tricking the aro so its brain will make the pigments in the scale to show more vivid colour.

I've left aro keeping for 8 years, this is juz my humble inputs. Im into koi fish now.

Yup i think its to get the aro to have a darker color. Since fish adjust to their background.

2. To prevent development of droop eyes

Actually I am interested in the fish behaviour once the black cloth is removed as it will the first few times it will interact with the outside environment
