Paludarium Setup.

Hi ya guys, after much waiting n not to mention a spell of lousy feverish days plus hellish work hours, todae i just finished halfway a 3ft paludarium setup. Have been wanting to set tis up fr A LONG time but finally got e time to do it. Aniwae, tis is a typical paludarium, difference is dat it's 50% land n 50% water; as fr vivarium, it's more like 90% land n 10% water.

Just a few specs fr tis setup:

Filtration is by Eheim Liberty 100 connected to Atman 140 ( I guess so, can't think properly due to side effects of strng medication! )

E Eheim Liberty acts as a filter n also at e same time as a watefall as can be seen in e pics below. Changes in catridges is made simple wif e use of such hang on filters.

Land plants include Variegated frill fern n Silverhair fern. Submerged forms r anubias varieties frm e petite to gigantea. Will add a few java ferns to complete e submerged part look.

Also, i'll add a few draping long weeping mosses at e waterfall side so as to cover e hose n also to finish off dat whole 3dimensional look.

Focal point in tis setup is e large Variegated frill fern.

Lighting is provided by 4 x 10 000K T5.

As fr fauna wise, not decided.

And lastly, do pardon e pics as it's only halfway done n e water's still murky.
Will update on e finished look once i get e perfect accompaniments to accent e rest of e flora.

Very nice bro, I think you can keep archer fish, it will be very interesting to see them shoot insects down.

Thanks bros, but it's just halfway done up so it's kinda incomplete to me. Hmmmm "shi fu" means teacher, am i right? hahah Nah bro, ain't no teacher as yet. Just practising what i like n just sharing wif ya all here.

Archers? hmmmmm........ . thn it'd have to be brackish waters, n dat means a no no fr my land flora. hahah perhaps other surface dwelling fishes?

Dun really fancy the double centre bracing but nonetheless a gorgeous and simply fantastic setup. Think it will look fabulous if housed in a braceless tank.

very nice!!!! how about some wild bettas or other labyrinth fishes? or some halfbeaks? seen some being sold quite some time ago but don't know if they have it in the market now?
