Default cherry shrimp weird behaviour

i have this around 10 gallon paludarium styled tank which houses 5 cherry shrimps.every shrimp is doing well (its been 3-4 days now, water cycled before adding them) but there is this one shrimp which keeps on "climbing" up to the top of the driftwood, and starts grazing against the strong current (from ext mini canister tube).

here it is in action..

This is to show how high it "climbed"..

its not the only time. i caught it doing that 2-3 times already. i have to put my finger close to it and it'll jump back into the water.

anyone encountered this befoRE?

3-4 days is not enough to consider the water cycled...

even if u add commercialise biobacteria.. it will take them at least a week or two to develop into a colony we are talking about playing safe.....

looks like ur shrimp is trying to get out and find cleaner water.. trying to get out of the tank is what they do normally when water parameter are not right..

u can try and test out ur water parameters.. and let us know..

i have a mature tank and some prawns of mine do that as well. They like to play with current just like us "jacuzzi"

i do have a shrimp which likes to do that too!! i using a OHF, and it climbs to the outlet, and is almost entirely out of the tank's water level.

my tank's sakuras are breeding, so i m guessing its not a water quality problem..

My shrimps sometimes do try to go against the flow at the outlets. Seemed normal to me.
