Btw I once had an issue with yellow water...but mine was due to my DW as I did not soak it prior to using it. I could not stand the yellow one bit and went to do some research.

Apparently, Seachem Purigen can remove the yellowish tint. It took mine 1 day before all the yellow tint is gone....mine was a 3footer though. You might want to check it out
Thanks bro!.. Cool.. i shall check it out!

but previously in my 1.5ft tank the same bogwood and dw is in.. i dont have this yellowish water problem..

this yellowish started since i start to cycle my 2ft tank. at first is due to the high levels of ammonia from what other forumers have told me.. but till now it doesnt seems to go away.. >.<

I believe some driftwood's tanins already leaked out before you purchase them.. maybe i was just unlucky to pick up a driftwood full of tanins..

u saw my 2 feet rock scape?
it took around 2 to 3 months to be crystal clear..
not sure if it is the wood or gravels for your case..

a simple way to check is to take out the wood and see if the water still turn brown..

not simple at all bro..i guess what im going to do is to siphon out some soil the next time i do plant trimming.. then put the soil in a tub to see if the tub turns yellowish.. if it is, means its the soil.. but i doubt its the soil lah.... many people using it no problem leh..
