Default Cherry and Malayan shrimps finally berried!

last night while cleaning the tank, i finally saw that one of my cherry shrimps has berried! the malayan one has berried about 1 week ago so i think should be expected those shrimplets anytime now

its been about 2-3 months ever since i've gotten my cherries and about 1 month since a kind bro gave his malayan shrimps to me

whoopee!

anyway, just to share some tank specs...

1ft x 0.5ft x 0.7ft(?) plastic tank
water at about 25 deg celcius
weekly 50% water change with conditioner and aging for abt 24 hours
diet mostly frozen mashed up peas and bee corina bee shrimp food
HOB filter
lots and lots of moss, mostly taiwan, flame and us fissidens
using some lapis like sand and pebbles

thought no chance to breed already cos my tank quite dirty, always got nematodes, planaria and lately seed shrimp :P :P :P

Once they adapt the environment they will breed non stop, enjoy the fun hehe, my office's cherry start breeding too, understand the joy you have there, hehe. Any photos?
Weekly 50% water change maybe a bit too much, as shrimp very sensitive to water condition, 20% weekly will be fine else they will shock by the sudden ph change, just my opinion.

Save the money bro, since you can maintain the 1ft tank at 25 deg. If you want to cool down further, install a mini fan will do. Get the chiller when you upgrade to 2ft or above.
