Default Dilemma: Whether to put Tigrinus into main comm

Hi guys, having a dilemma on whether to put my tigrinus into my main comm..

Let me give you guys some details and do give me some advise and your opinion whether its time for him to go into the main tank or continue in growout tank.

Okay so here are some details, i bought this tig from a hobbyist about 1 month ago, keeping him in m growout tank which is 2x1.5x1.5 since then, hes about 9"-10" now, and im thinking whether to intoroduce him to main comm or continue on growout. Heres a pic of him. Long but skinny.

My main comm is 5x2.5x2.5..
Current lifestocks are :
3 x PB 11"-14"
2 ebh 8"
2 IT 10"-11"

My considerations are:

If i put him into main comm will he get eaten by my monsterfishes?

Will he have enough to eat/able to get food when hes in?

If i continute to pump him in my growout tank will he get stunned?
Hes 9"-10" now, area of growout tank base is 2ftx1.5ft.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yup thats it guys, do give me ur opinion on what i should do. INTRODUCE HIM INTO MAIN COMM, or CONTINUE IN GROW-OUT TANK.

Any additional info that u need and i missed out do feel free to ask me, ill gladly answer them..

TIA for spending your time reading and helping!

Cheers

hi bro,

i have a tigrinus, too. currently keeping him in a 5ft tank alongside a 5 inch I.T and a 10 inch aro. I.T always disturb it. but luckily my tigrinus is the fierce type. need to monitor closely for any fight once you release your tig in the main comm.

How is your feeding like for him in this grow out tank?

If he is able to find his own food when he senses when you are feeding him, i feel that is it okay to put him in the main comm. Just throw in a little more food so that it will reach the bottom where he dwells.

this is my opinion. last time i just comm the fishes and let them adapt to the environment so that they can get food by themselves. Starting first few days the new comers might not be able to get food.

but after a few feeding sessions, they are able to adapt and get food as fast as the other tank mates living with them.

just my 2cents.

Hi bro good to hear that, so your opinion is to introduce to main comm n monitor closely?

The last time i intorduced him when i just bought him(7"?) my pb keep disturbing him and i had a sbkm, so i removed.

In growout tank its feeding everyday with MP.
Able to feed well in growout tank.

Seems like throwing more n smaller pcs of food in main tank is able to solve the problem.. What about the problem on getting eaten? This is my biggest worry

keep your fishes well fed and i feel that it shouldn't be a problem. but if you're afraid, why not grow it bigger then add into the main comm

If he is feeding well then I think it is good to introduce into yr main tank as yr 2x1.5x1.5 tank might be too small for him now...get a low profile DW as cover if you are still worried...
