I found this in my planted tank...and I feed to my female betta. Quite large dragonfly nymph I think...

That as said is either a dragon fly or mayfly nymph. It is harmful for the fries and like tabpoles a lot. I once found them came along with water plants bought from LFS. It seems that all these plants have "free gifts".

Quickly get rid of it. I once brought it back with some plants and my smaller fish started disappearing. It's an ugly piece of monster if you look at it up close. The jaws are like those from Alien. Yucks. It will decimate your fry population. Definitely a dragonfly larvae. Kill Kill Kill!

Err i dun think to kill it is a good idea,maybe jus release it into a pond would be better,best if i had if,i'll keep it till it hatch into a dragonfly.

Ok maybe I'm overreacting but once you see them eating your preciousssss, you'd be angry too.
