Does it come like that? Or overnight become like that,
I presume the defect u saying is the 2 curved fins? |

Cannot be overnight, likely birth defect. Last night my other Pleco fry also will have such deformities.

I didn't noticed when it happen, discovered this piece during tank cleaning. I believe it should be since birth...

its a birth defect.. i have one similar male.. and he is a non working male..
just help to "add" numbers in the colony. |

Wonder if cut away the fins, will the fins grow back normally? Like how they do for aro and other fishes.
