Thanks for your feedback. As a precaution, judges would not be told the name of the breeders of the fish they are judging. Otherwise, especially in small Singapore where there is such a close-knit betta community, no one can judge any betta competition. Do let any of the Area 6 judges if you question the integrity of any of our judges who are all certified IBC judges for Area 6.

Furthermore, our head judge is one of the most experienced betta judges around.

if I buy a male and a female betta (could be from abroad like from aquabid or some LFS ) , I let them spawn and from the frys I get , I raise them to maturity . Let's say I enter one of the resulting mature "fry" , am I considered it's "breeder" ? would that be in tune with the idea of breeder's comp ?

Yes, you would be the breeder of the fish. Thanks.

The competition would be held at Kebun Baru Community Club (216 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4). Here's a thread on how to get there for those who need directions: http://www.bettaclub.org.sg/forum/to...?TOPIC_ID=2527

Hi Pichet

Dark bodied copper plakats should be entered in class B1. If it is light bodied, then it should be in class B3.
