my first XB - how to groom it?
i recently got back to the aro hobby with my first crossback..
i was at the salty side for awhile, and suddenly work become tougher and i couldnt keep up with maintenance leading to a mass bleaching that wiped out my SPS corals. i was so dishearted and i was soon regretting the weekly maintenance and losing heart to continue i decided to decomm that tank, and tot of the freshwater, maybe keeping "simpler" fishes such as guppies, tetras.. or even a blood parrot comm while my tank was cycling, i was looking around and saw that there was not much Aros around and was thought this was due to the hobby declining.. but one day.. when i was out looking for filter media and not fish... i randomly walked into BCA at Pasir Ris farmway and saw my "the one" and i knew i had to get him.. despite being above my intended budget.. i know XBs prices have fallen but this was my first time paying hundreds for a fish previously, i kept my RTG in a normal tank and treated it like a normal fish..feedings and weekly WC.. with this XB, i would like to try my hand at grooming the best fish possible.. and with so many information around, i would like to seek the experts' advice to groom the best fish possible.. is the blue shimmer considered shine? when would the gold tones start appearing? my tank specs: tank: 4ft by 2ft filteration: sump with filter wool, bioballs, jap mat, various CR (siporax,ANS ex ring), marinepure block and 1 small bag of Coral Chips light: submerged LED white light temp: 29-30.5 (29 on rainy days.. avg.. 30-30.5) pH untested daily feedings of MP with food sticks. sometimes without the foodsticks if he detects there is something foreign in the MP and only recently.. beheaded superworms |

Bro, nice catch with good shine.
The aro is still young. Allow it to readjust itself to the new environment. With your tlc & good water parameters, your aro will turn out to be another gold bar in waters |
