Beside that 5x2x2 ft tank, got myself another 4x 1.5x 1.5 ft tank (front panel crystal glass)
Carpet mini fissiden, one bogwood at the center with some rocks beside it. Ember tetra fishes and fire red shrimps are already in but not in the this pix. |

This is WOW!
Is it a lot of work to do mini fissiden carpeting? I ever wish to do a USF wall or base but didn't work out back then. |

Good water circulation in the tank will prevent algae greatly. No need to get any chemical i.e peroxide as mentioned commonly in discussion forum to get rid of them. |

I'll prefer to the use sewing thread to secure the mini fissiden to the driftwoods first. Once the plants had latched/clanged to the woods after 2 or 3 months, I will removed the thread. Look nicer this way. |

On carpeting, I explore the idea again if this MC (monte carlos) fails. Wall, probably give up that idea since you mentioned the bottom section tends not to do well due to lack of lights.
I use sewing thread too but doesn't remove them even after the USF (or mini) had latched onto the dw. I leave them as it is, as the leaves will just grow out and cover the thread look soon. |
