Default 1ft tank in office

30x18x18cm tank, gravels only, 13W PL light, 5 cardinal, 5 neon tetra, 3 adult platy +12 baby platy.

Plants:
Spiky moss on drift wood
Edinodoras Tenellus (not sure)
Sagittasia Sabulata (not sure)
Limnophila aquatica (not sure)
Limnophila Serssiflora (not sure)

The tank have been 4 months old. The Spiky mOss growing well and it has become a sanctuary for the baby platy.
But the rest of the plant turning yellowish or brown, some even rot at segment. Underneath gravel forms a lot air bubbles.
I am using Excel carbon as source of CO2 and ocean free liquid fertilizer. Sometimes adding some pottasium.

I need to trash all plant except the spiky moss and do a re landscape, but before that I need to rectify the plant turning lighter green/yellowish problem.

Anyone can help?

Bro,

I share with you all that I know of...

Is better for you to find out more for plants that can only survive without CO2 injection.

Plant like Moss can survive as they only require very minimum CO2 or light.

Best of luck yah... Maybe can add a few shrimps inside to help with the algae issue...

the spiky moss is indeed very nice. Maybe you can remove all other plants? and introduce some additional moss in it? christmas or taiwan?

Moss are reportedly unable to utilize organic carbonates, so sources of carbon in the form of Seachem Excel might not be able to be used by the moss. Pure CO2 are more welcomed by them instead. So CO2 bubbles are more apt in this case than Excel.

fert n co2 aside, think your tank is kind of overstocked.
