My 1 month old 2ft Planted tank
Hi All,
Just to share my 1 month old 2ft planted tank. The plants I have in my planted tank are Ludwigia glandulosa, Bacopa monnieri, Cabomba caroliniana, Cyperus helferi, Cabomba Furcata, Java fern (Microsorum pteropus), Microsorum pteropus 'Windelov', Echinodorus tenellus, Ceratopteris thalictroides, Hemianthus callitrichoides ''Cuba'', Rotala Sp. ''Nanjenshan'' (Mayaca), Singapore Moss (taken from roadside) and Java moss. Planted Egeria densa but melt out very fast. Ceratopteris thalictroides is also dying soon but shifted to outer side and hope it can survive. Cabomba caroliniana & Cabomba Furcata growing quite well. Cut one of Cabomba caroliniana and try to plant it again. Java Moss and HC seem like not much growing. 2 betta(1 male, 1 female). The male get wrack by the female until the long fin like 4by2. 9 feeder platies growing very well. Always very hungry. Using Lapis sand and a base substrate, JBJ Substrate Nutrient. Lighting (55w PL Light) & DIY Fan x2 only on from 5:30pm to 11:30pm. Using DIY CO2 for 24hrs, sometime can work sometime cannot work. Dose 1.5ml Seachem Florish weekly. Never do water change, only add water when the level low. As for filter, using a carnister filter. Pic 01: Pic 02: Pic 03: S'pore Moss that trying to plant. (Get from Road side) Pic 04: Unknown Plant (Left side) Now still looking for liquid fert and yet to decide which one to buy. Members have recommend me, Lushgro Aqua, Wonder-Gro Marco, Seachem NPK + Fe + trace, etc. Any comments or advise is welcome. Thanks... |

Java moss is still always brown color. They are planted in my 2 green color plastic mesh. The semi-circle green color mesh with java moss is used to hold the CO2 bubble for longer time to stay in the water. |

Get the unknown plant out fast it is not a true aquatic plant soon it will melt & rot away causing water perimeter fluctuation in the tank which will disturb the growth of your HC & other more sensitive plants

If you are saying the moss tied on the DW, that is s'pore moss ( i suppose it is). Those moss get from the roadside. It have not really grown yet. I soak it in the water for 1 weeks plus and just tied it on the DW 3 days ago. Cheers... |
