Default extra large CPO

hi all,

I've bought 3 CPO two weeks ago and kept them in my 2-feet planted tank with shrimps and livebearers

they are growing well

however, one is growing "too well"... it has molted twice already and is now a "huge" 5cm long beast

the other two are normal, around 3cm long

i read from the net that CPO usually grows to a max of 1.5/6 in or 4 cm... i have kept some CPO in the past and they were "normal"

this one is getting too large

i'm now keeping an eye on it... if it grows any bigger, i may have to catch it and give it back to the LFS

anyone has the same problem too?

or is it a new species of CPO that I wasn't aware (i'm sounding silly here)

hi all,

I wish to apologise here

think i made a big mistake... after some googling, I suspect what I have bought were three baby Neon Orange Crayfish

when I bought them, they were only 1cm long, and looked exactly like the dwarf CPOs

they are now about 5cm long

I should have read the labels carefully... anyway have decided to raise them in a separate tank

do they attack your plants?

I gave up on crayfishes when they destroyed my painsakingly tied christmas moss on DW overnight, that christmas moss tank took me like 6 mths to cultivate =s
