lr
my life rocks are getting brownish. how do i get back to the purple ish colour of the lr? issit becos lighting too strong? cos the underside of my lr some are still purple in colour..

Their turning brown because algae(most probably diatoms) is growing on them. This is normal, so long as you got light, algae is likely to grow.
Do a search in this forum, there's information regarding tackling of algae problems.

Are you using tap water to top up your tank? Or... are you using tap water to mix with salt mixes, without treating with RO/DI?

i mix with tap water. after a week then i change the water in my tank.

bro...it doesnt work if u use aged water..cos it only gets rid of chlorine. like wat cirrus said...u have to use those RO/DI distiller to remove those unwanted chemicals which causes diatom and other algaes.. *im a newbie too |
