eheim is good if you don't mind bit pricey but very low electric usage over those italian and taiwan pumps.

more reliable also and got spare parts.

Laguna max-flo pump. Good, reliable, power efficient, reasonably priced. Can get from C328. Got various range of flow to choose. I am using it for my 7ft tank for 5 years.

I think Tsunami is still a better choice.

You can consider another brand carry by Mainland...I think is Me-something....italian brand. reliable also. but power consumption higher.

Knowing flow rate and head requirements is important.
Jebao has flow pumps capable of very high flow rates at low head which are great for koi ponds that have low restriction filters. These are also fairly energy efficient for the flow rate.

That's a good pump. Any idea what the cause of failure was? My first worked for 7 years.
15000lphis an overstatement. It moves that much only with practically no load. In practice I think it moves closer to 10-12k lph
