in mine personal opinion, i feel that for a diy set up
there is no need forcheck valve and bubble counter. Reason check valve purpose - allow co2 to come out but not water from entering *for a diy setup, i think that you will be more worried about the bicarbonate and sugar mixture from flowing into your tank instead. bubble counter - to check the no. of bubble of co2 flowing out *diy setup usually provide very small amount of co2 and there is no need to control the amount entering your tank. I think that one bottle is enough just ensure that your water level in the co2 bottle is lower to prevent it from back flow ino the tank. I think using an airstone will be a better choice rather than glass diffusor for a diy setup (imho). _____________________________________ www.plantedfanatics.com |

I still recommend using cylinder co2. Saves lots of trouble. __________________________________ www.plantedfanatics.com |
