Yeah hopefully she will hold again. Anyway lost one of them to bloat. The rest still living happily in my tank. The alpha male is chasing the others around the tank, however there's really no injuries or whatsoever which resulted from the chases.

They are beautiful. Not really because of their colour but their swimming posture. Looks like something from the ocean.

Will post a video when I get my camera back.

What I read about is that the female have rounder heads. Wasn't really into breeding them specifically though.

Anyway the sad thing is the female which was holding the other time round passed away too. Now I am left with 3 of them from the initial 6. The other 2 that remained together with the Alpha males are still quite young. Around 1 inch smaller.

Haha... How many pieces did you get? Hope to see you start on petros and tropheus soon

To sex, the most reliable way is to vent. Mouth brooders are much easier as the eggs are much larger den cave/shell spawners, hence the females vent is much larger.

Sorry to hear... is it because of aggression issues? 3 is not a very good number for such fish (from my experience with simochromis, tropheus and petros) but once in a while it does work. Try to crowd the tank with other types of fish, it helps.
