bro....try looking at their head shape from different angle and slowly you will see the differences....and the best place to do this is to visit Aquahobby as they have all 3 species now....:-)

Bro,

I also very noobie in identifying bichirs.

Anyway, if you are seriously keen about bichirs, I would strongly encourage you to get yourself each type you like from AH (they just have a new shipment in recently) and admire them daily then you will see the difference in no time.

Btw, I also having problem identifying volta endies and some guinea laps variants because I didnt keep them before. Haha..

To washywashy: Sorry, I went to view the recent photos posted in this thread on the lap, bichir and ansorgii but I still cannot figure out exactly how to differentiate them after you have given me the guidelines.
