so what is it abt PAP that makes them win the election year in year out ??
until such time this puzzle is solved, i dun see how the opposition can get anywhere let's look at East Coast GRC 2006 100,000 voters PAP wins 63.9% WP wins 36.1% This term Jayakumar and Abdullah Tarmugi out Can WP sway 14% of the votes ?? In raw numbers, WP has to sway 14,000 voters that previously voted for PAP to vote for them. Last Election, WP fielded 1. Chia Ti Lik 2. Perry Tong 3. Brandon Siow 4. Eric Tan 5. Abdul Rahim Chia Ti Lik has now formed his own party, Socialist Front The rest I dunno WTF happened to them ..... No sound no picture This East Coast GRC looks like the most vulnerable but what is the opposition doing ?? They doing seriously Fuk All Nothing |

They can choose to field their best candidates against PAP's weakest wards and not have multiple parties vying for the same ward, or they can choose to be beaten hands down. Everyone currently wants to prove something, but not uniting. |

Seriously this East Coast GRC is there to be won
It is helmed this term by Mr Lim " Economy no good, workers CPF cannot be restored but economy good enough to increase President pay " Boon Heng. and Mr Raymond " Traffic congestion impose ERP. Still congestion, higher ERP " Lim. And then what is the opposition doing ? All fighting to become " Secretary General " of a new party. It is a " Everybody wants to rule the world " thingy. |

See what they have in the newsletter they are selling and see what they can offer there. Some of their points are very different and may not be practical, but I can see WP Slyvia Lim is doing her best as a NCMP already. Steve Chai was also ok and so was the late Jeyaratnam back then. Give them a chance to serve us. |

First things first. This is a municipal election. If u can't even win over the voters, dun even go on abt what u can do in Parliament. |

Maybe these 3 people are not deserving to be in if they cannot resolve their fights after so long. |

I do believe this GE is one that has the potential to throw up many surprises. We are talking abt people born in late 1980s being eligible to vote, a whole new generation of voters that uses the internet. The problem is the opposition is not doing the groundwork to win all these voters over. |

True... true...
I got a friend in the WP and he tells me that they are reaching out to the younger generation through the Web since the last election. The thin specky guy you see following Mr Low in walk-about on TV is their IT guy. They have a very small group of people doing the work behind which we dun see. I believe this time round, we will see a lot of people voting as the opposition is spreading out their forces very thin to get everyone a chance to vote. So vote wisely. |
