Default TFB dying after 40%WC

i am using a sump filtration. i realise if i do 40% WC, my TFB tends to die.

normally i will add anti-chlorine before adding water. speed of adding not very fast, about one hour. in the middle i will add in more anti-chlorine.

during the wc process airpump is on for aeration. i have lost a couple of them already. signs i observe when they are dying..

1) will vomit
2) swim to surface gasp for air
3) bloated stomach
4) swim without balance

usually die 2-3 hr after WC. signs above only observe after 1 hour

so far i have no idea why they are dying. my other fishes all ok. any advise welcome. my water parameters are all ok. no sudden temperature change also, i usually WC at night when the water is more cooling

ya agreed on the seachem prime is good. I always buy the $16 bottle and it last quite long. The dosage is small and it works well so far.

May i suggest a wavemaker if doing large volume WC as it will help the prime to dissolve much faster. IMO

cheers
