Prices for test kits (Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate)
My test kits were bought in apr this year. after these few months of new setups , moving house etc, been testing alot of water parameters.
now that i needed to buy new ones again, i realised the price went up alot... previously i bought API ammonia at abt 12+ think now 14. nitrites and nitrates cheaper about 12 each now... can any bros, recommend where to get that its cheaper ar? Im open to other brands too, as this API testkits give me really weird readings sometimes... thanks |

That expensive! Sera is good. I guess price diff wouldn't be a lot, but these things you don't usually use unless you cycle a tank. Except ph tests.

I'm not too sure. Mine seems to last a long time, I think because I played cheat. hehehe
Anyway, I use only ph test, still the low tech way. Thinking to upgrade soon, see all of you all use ph meters, and so on. High tech stylo milo. |

think a ph pen still better... electro interference etc etc causes the ph meter to be not accurate leh... |

Agree, I like C328 although not all their stuff are the cheapest, but as mentioned, the diff is not really a lot. But C328 is a dangerous place to go also, I know always end up buying fish or something I didn't intend to get, there's so much variety there, and the peeps.....they are the friendliest you can ever find.

can give a guideline of the pricing of Sera test kits ? as well as the number of times it can be used? Is it strips or liquid to test the water colouration? thanks. |

Sera tests I've used are all liquid, but haven't used the amm & nitrite test kits for a long while so can't advise.
What I did was to half the drops required (correspondingly do the same to the water to be tested)....in that way I doubled the no of tests - cheating lor! |
