My turn to do review

Before I begin, I would like to thank Wilson and ReinBio-Tech for letting me to try out this product. Okay, here goes:

Physical

The media itself was light but not all pieces were made the same, some were bigger, some were rounder. I had a few that were (broken into) halves, and a couple that were inseparable (two pieces that seemed to be welded together . I had some that sank.

The media is tough as in I couldn't crush it by pinching hard.

Application

I used Bio-motion in a 2feet cube tank which I had started cycling it 1 week before with fishes.

I am using an Eheim Pro3 2071 canister with original media (mech pro & substratePro).

I decided to use Bio-motion as add-on media in a bottle with air pump as the air bubbles could also help in improving oxygen exchange in the tank.

After using it for 4 days in a 800ml bottle, there were fine sediments at bottom of the bottle.

To maximize my free sample, I changed to a 1L bottle and managed to pack 99% of the media into it.

One of the media that can sink.

Other views.

The media in motion.

I put the leftover together with the K1 media in a 422 fish tank:

And observed that the Bio-motion stayed on top.

Performance (as a whole with Eheim media mentioned above)

On the day I introduced Bio-motion (after tank cycling for a week), Ammonia was 0.5, Nitrite 0.5, Nitrate 10. Nitrate was 10 because I used old tank water.

The next day, Nitrite went to 1 and Ammonia was 0.25. I triple dosed OF Battle Bacteria 8000.

The following days, Ammonia and Nitrite gradually dropped to 0 and Nitrate rose to 20.

Tank was cycled after 3 days from adding BB. Water was slightly cloudy due to bacteria boom, it was clear after a few days.

After a week(from using Bio-Motion), my young pair of Lionhead cichlid (Steatocranus casuarius) laid eggs.

I will monitor more on the Nitrates from now onwards.

Hi all, updating my trial of Biomotion.

Putting Biomotion in 1.5l bottle

Bottle all done, ready to put into into tank.

Biomotion in action in tank.

Current nitrate level :40ppm. Will monitor and see how it change after 1 week with Biomotion.

Some observation :
Biomotion balls are very light hence all floating on top of the bottle. Even with high volume of air, not much movement of the balls on top of the bottom. Some movement observed at the bottom.

So far no powdering particulars or cloudiness observed in the tank. Rinsed the media a few times before putting into bottle. Not sure if that help.

Will update after some future observations and water testing.

After 4 days, no change in nitrate level. Observe some powder on the base of the bottle. Could be due to wearing of the glass balls.

Hi all, was busy during the festive season

Got sometime today to setup the bio motion. Thanks to Rein and bro Henree who collected on my behalf.

The Biomotion was much lighter then expected. I did rinse it with waterand all of them were floating.

Got two small baskets and the size were just now for the bio motion which fill up half. Position them into the last compartment of my sump tank with air stone running
