Try looking for a bigger test tube to do the test. Use 10ml instead of 5ml. That way each drop should be 1/2 the reading. Also try on tap water to see if you get the same results.

I don't believe it's a bacteria issue. Most shrimp moulting issues are GH related.

Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrate: 5ppm

I tried your method alr cheetf. Still no avail. Could I have bought a expired set? The gh cannot be 20 drops but still no colour change right..

Sigh..

Yeah. idk why leh. i followed the instruction also no avail. maybe i'll go look for another GH Test kit. The one i used was tetratest. i got it from Y934. maybe its really expired. lol

I find the Sera one the easiest to use. Bring it back to the shop you bought from and ask the uncle how come it never change colour. Ask him to show you how it works.
