Majority of my tanks are FGTs. I have tried using Mr Aqua OHF, i find it makes the set up look weird with all the piping & trays..
Personally happy using the fibre filter boxes. |

My set up will be customized, stainless steel bracket to hold all the trays. So the tray will be 2 stack, end to end at the 6feet side Lots of aquatic plan, eg water lettuce, bamboo, lilies. Media shall be coral chip, oyster shell, ceramic rings, Jap mat Is there any other media I shld consider? |

Stainless steel tray is better than the original. As this is for outdoor use, the plastic will degrade faster due to the weather. This is why fiber filter box is more suitable. More space also. You need to get those medias with large surface area as you does not have the space like sump. Can get biohome, matrix and marine pure.
