Dun use medication. Open scales is not a disease. It is a symptom of poor husbandry, which means u have been neglecting this fish for a while.
The open scales, the pimples and even the colour of the fish tells a lot on how u have been keeping this fish. Use salt 0.3%, change water everyday or every two days with a good water conditioner. Dun use heater. You dun want any free floating bacteria to grow quickly and attack the open scales. |

Barney is right. Use epsom salt also, it helped with my rtg when it got this many years back. No feeding, might be weeks to fully recover. WC is important but so if cleaning the media out every 6-12 months. Realised that negleting the bio media was my issue even though I changed the wool often. All the best.
