I have a piece in a tank with similar substrate as yours. Sometimes my goldline will poop out sand lol... But no big deal I guess. They swallow some while eating. Mayb same as the parrots? Parrots need to swallow some sand to help them digest the seeds in their stomach. There's sand in the natural environment so there should be no cause for concern Last edited by hengyi86; 22-05-2014 at 03:32 PM. |

Thanks bro's! Feels good to have a panaque again. Yes, I believe this fish can be called goldline, although I am not 100% sure about it's ID. Maybe the experts here can help me properly ID him? These pictures are from 24 hours after he was put in the tank, so his colours are not yet stable.
Excuse the bad pictures |

Thanks bro, me too!
Yesterday I transferred the panaque and it's tankmate (it) to a new 4x2x2 because the araguaia was quiet fierce. I can understand why it is considered to be the most agressive panaque, it does not allow the it to come near "its" peace of wood. I hope that the upgrade to a bigger tank will give the it more space to stay clear of the panaque, it had some small marks of the panaque's spines on it's body before... |
