Thought of starting a thread here on Tanganyika Oddballs so those of you keeping these oddities can share your experience here

Let me start off by sharing with you some pictures of the Tanganyika Eel, Mastacembelus moorii.
They are very shy creature, and are always hiding amoung the rocks most of the time. Peaceful and no aggression shown to the other tankmates so far.
Occasionally they will venture out into the open sand, but only when the lights are out. This has led me to think if they are nocturnal.
They take NLS pallets and frozen brine & mysis shrimps readily.

thats a very cool looking eel. i used to keep the tangan catfish in my tangan comm tank, that was 'rare' many years back
