Smile #asiana

And so I decommed and cleared my pioneer PRL tank to downsize since I'll be moving out of my parents' place soon. Just had to set up this tank since a bro was unable to realise his project. Was a good deal that is. Always wanted to set up a low maintenance asian-themed tank with boraras in them so finally did it! Enough talk, here's what I did...

Hardware:

GEX 200H tank
UP Led mini light
VIV Inflow and Outflow
EHEIM 2211
Mini chiller

Substrate:
ADA Amazonia (Powder)

Flora:
Bucephalandra sp. 'Diablo'
Bucephalandra sp.'Brownie Red'
Bucephalandra sp.'Metallic Red'
Bucephalandra sp.'Sanggau Black burnt'
Bucephalandra sp.'Dark Skeleton King'
Microsorum trident
Anubias sp. var. 'Gold'
Anubias sp. var. 'White'
Anubias sp. var. 'Stardust'

Fauna:
Parosphromenus sp. 'Sintang'
Betta brownorum
Betta bellica
Sphaerichthys osphromenoides
Boraras brigittae
Boraras urophthalmoides

After dumping in everything...

A touch of blackwater for the calming natural effect (at the expense of enjoying my buceps though!)

From Aquarist Chamber bro. It depends heavily on ambient temperature since it is a TEM chiller. The pics were taken at night when my a/c was switched on

This is nice!

You should replace the anubias with cryptos or moss since its an asian theme tank.

Thanks bro! The golden nanas are on a bogwood so can't remove them. I was just making use of plants from my previous setup and dump them in there

Crypts are out of the question, still shaken by the melting of my collection of rare specimens like sp. xtimahensis

Ah... Seems we all face the same issues with surplus plants.

I'd like a tank on the floor but I worry my kids falling on or kicking it.

Must be quite relaxing to sit on the floor and stare at the tank.

The top part seems quite bare. Try a riparium section?

Ahhh.. Me too.. I saw the bigger version of this tank, really meant for the floor! Actually I'm planning to drain off the top part and have probably some wabikusa there
