Default Installed my first *proper* planted tank yesterday

Hi,

Finally got a *proper* planted tank yesterday and will be breaking it in for the next 3-4 weeks. Hope to post some pics later once the water has cleared up sufficiently.

Its a 125L tank (dimensions: 2.5ft x 1.6ft x 1.2ft), internal filter and 2 x 18W lights (one daylight, one warm white tube).

This is the tank after the first 24 hours. Water is still a bit cloudy as treatment was added.

Not shown/easily seen in picture:
- cover of the tank is half-open (removed 1 cover) and there is a fan/blower installed. Have not determined the temperature of the water yet (haven't bought/installed thermometer, and clinical thermometer only goes down to 32C ... yeah i tried that ) but feels really cool to touch, much cooler than tap water.
- CO2 canister is located in cabinet under tank and feeding 1 bubble per sec into the diffuser.

Thanks.

Does anyone have any information or costs for automated Ph/Kh/CO2/temp sensor equipment? Just want to find out.

Will get test kits this week for use in the interim, but may want to have something hassle-free (and non-messy) for longer term - provided its affordable.

For ph you have the ph pen (there was a thread on it which was selling for
a good price in c328).For temperature, you can get those thermometers
which are quite cheap. As for kh, never seen any automated ones yet.You
can get those drip test kits for kh. As for CO2 levels , just use the kh and ph readings and get the CO2 concentration from the ph/kh vs CO2 chart
