From my point of view, I would suggest for a 5ft tank to have 3 MH sets so that the light distributation would be evenly covered rather than using 2 sets to light up your tank. $350 for 2 MH sets. Is it a 150W set? SE or DE set? Casing is made in China? I am not too sure how safe is it as a picture can be easier for me to judge. The electronic ballast is made from Elbiru? For MH lighting, be aware of the heat generated from the unit and would pratically bring up the temperature of your water quite fast. Minimally you need to have a fan to cool off the water but if you Pocket allows for deeper hole, can invest in 1 Chiller |

They are doing a bulk ordering of the light tubes and not the lightset itself.
As for the tubes, it will be definately better than those light tubes that are meant for normal use, such as Osram hi-lux daylight tubes. Cheers |

The Arcadia T5 Plant Pro is suppose to increase the plant growth as compared to normal T5 tubes. So I am just giving this tube a try to see if what they state in their website is true Price wise, price for a 54W T5 should be around $35 |

The above pricing information for 54W T5 was inaccurate . The exact pricing for 54W T5 Plant Pro is $59/tube. Price for 39W T5 Plant Pro is $54 and 24W T5 Plant Pro is $47. 24W is for 2ft, 39W for 3ft and 54W for 4ft. Not too sure if Arcadia has 80W (5ft) ready for sale. The T5 Plant Pro is also different from HO (High Output) as it is stated as EHO (Extra High Output) on the packaging box itself. I guess that the Output is much better and brighter than the High Output ones. Those who are really interested to commit to such prices for the tubes, do PM me the Wattage and number of pieces. 24W T5 Plant Pro EHO tube: $47 39W T5 Plant Pro EHO tube: $54 54W T5 Plant Pro EHO tube: $59 |

Ace,
The wattage listed is HO not EHO. Not sure why they list it as EHO. Jack |

Yes, the wattage rating is the same as HO but one the packaging itself, they worte the tube to be EHO - Extra High Output. Not too sure what's the main difference but will try to get some answers to it. And I think for us to maximise the EHO tube, we do need to use T5 E-ballast as compared to E-ballast Perhaps, I will use Osram tube first |

I was looking at the color temperature spectrum you have for the tube. it seems to peak in the blue zone. Isn't these type of colour temperature more suitable for marine tanks?

Do you mean by this showing the colour temperature spectrum? I am not too sure how to read and interpret from the image. As mentioned and tested by Arcadia, this tube is specifically for Planted Tanks and not for Marine. Marine do have their own EHO tube that I think it was recently release by Arcadia too. I'm sure Arcadia knows about these lighting spectrum for Planted and Marine |
